1. One application form can be used to apply for Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) for one or more Octopus cards / products (Octopus Cards) including Personalised Octopus cards. For Personalised Octopus cards, BOC Credit Card (International) Company Limited will charge an application fee of HK$100 (including HK$50 deposit, HK$30 stored value and HK$20 non-refundable service charge) per Personalised Octopus on behalf of Octopus Card Ltd. (OCL). This fee will be charged to the designated BOC Credit Card account and will not be eligible for gift point rewards.
2. Whenever the remaining stored value of your Octopus Card or those designated by you reaches zero or a negative balance, or when the remaining value plus the maximum negative value (HK$35) is insufficient to cover the intended payment, HK$250 will be automatically added to the Octopus Card by BOC Credit Card (International) Company Limited. This value will be charged to your designated BOC Credit Card account. Each Octopus Card can be auto-reloaded once a day.
3. For application to transfer the AAVS from one bank to another, or reactivation of the AAVS, a non-refundable handling fee of HK$20 will be charged to your designated BOC Credit Card account and will not be eligible for gift point rewards.
4. Approval of applications for Personalised Octopus cards and AAVS usually takes two to four weeks.
5. This service is applicable to BOC Credit Card, y not Credit Card, U-point Credit Card and BOC co-branded cards (but inapplicable to corporate card, purchasing card, Great Wall International Card, Great Wall RMB Credit Card, BOC RMB Credit Card, USD Card, Cards issued in Macau and Express Cash Card).
